Look what I found

hello_boys

I wanted a white top to go with my white shorts. Perusing the DressBarn website, I saw a crochet lace top that I liked, so during my lunch hour, I visited the nearby DressBarn to check out the top in person.

They had a rack full of the tops including a few in white and in my size (so I thought). After examining the top, I was happy with my choice and went to the cash register to get rung up.

The sales rep complimented me on my choice and as she began ringing me up, she asked, "What is the phone number of the person you are buying this for?"

The sales rep was one I had not dealt with before and since I was in boy mode, I assume she thought that I was buying the top for a regular customer (and by giving her the customer's phone number, the customer would get credit for the sale and rack up points).

I replied, "The top is for me."

And then I added, "Maybe I should try it on to see if it fits."

It looked big enough, but I've been burnt by that assumption before, so I headed to the dressing room. Good thing I did because it was too tight around my boobs.

The sales rep found the next size up and it fit fine. I paid for my purchase and was on my way.

Getting back to my boobs. I think they are getting bigger!

During the past six months or so, I thought that my boobs looked bigger when I looked at myself in the mirror, but I assumed it was just wishful thinking.

However, now that the warm weather has finally settled in around here, I often wear just a T-shirt without a blouse over the tee. As a result, I noticed that my boobs are filling out my tees more than they ever had in the past.

I have always had boobs (due to a hormone imbalance and/or Gynecomastia), but not to this extent.

If this keeps up, I will have to start wearing bras in both boy and girl modes --- not because I want to, but because I need to (not that there is anything wrong with that).

My Christmas Party Outfit

Tuesday evening, I will attend the local Avon representative Christmas party. I attended once before, in 2006, and except for a male VIP from the home office, it was an all-girl affair.

I had a wonderful time and seemed to be accepted by the other girls, but I was way overdressed for the party. As I wrote at the time, "Most of the other reps wore slacks or jeans with tops and a minority wore skirts with tops. I was the only rep wearing a dress."

I did not want to make the same mistake again, so I planned to dress to fit in.

I want to wear my new leopard platform pumps and I tried to build an outfit around those shoes. I quickly added my black leggings with the zippered cuffs and my new black B. Makowsky satchel bag to the outfit, but I needed a top.

I own a leopard print long-sleeved V-neck top, but it is too tight. It worked when I wore it with soft-cup bras, but does not work with the full-figure bras I wear now. So I began shopping for a new leopard print top.

I checked all the websites of the local stores and found a top at DressBarn that would be perfect: a sequined leopard tank.

After lunch, I visited the local DressBarn.

Don't you just love it when you walk into a store and exactly what you are looking for in your exact size is hanging on the first rack you peruse! That is what happened to me today; I completed my Christmas party outfit and it only cost $17.

buy one, get one free

Shopped at Kohl's and bought a new dress and top. The dress cost $54 and the top was free because Kohl's was having a "buy one, get one free" sale.

The dress is a "daisy fuentes Watercolor Knot-Front Dress. Watercolor print lends a creative look. Knotted overlay and shirred details offer uniquely feminine style. Soft, stretchy blend gives you a comfortable fit."

I saw the dress last Thursday when I was shopping for a Mother's Day gift. They had a full rack of the dresses on Thursday, but when I returned today, they only had two left and luckily, one in my size. I plan to wear the dress out Saturday night in Dayton.

The top is a "daisy fuentes Slubbed Sweater. Shirred details add a charming touch. Ribbed trim offers a bit of natural stretch and shape retention. Slubbed cotton construction ensures comfortable wear." The original price was $40; my price was $0.

The color of the top, royal blue, caught my eye and I thought it would look lovely with my black leggings. I will wear the outfit when I am in NYC next month.
