Yearbooks and More

I hope you are enjoying the revived flickr Yearbooks Collection. There have been nearly one million views since the Collection went live on Monday, so it seems to be a big hit.

Since I have unlimited storage, I also posted some personal photos on flickr. They are under three categories: Stana CosmopoliteStana Fashionista and Stana Office Girl. I will probably add more categories in the near future.

You can access all the contents of the Femulate Image Library using the links in the blog’s sidebar (under the heading Flickr Image Library.)

Thank You

Thank you so much for your generosity.

Reader contributions to the Femulate Coffee Break! fund were sufficient to cover the Flickr Pro annual fee. So I subscribed to Flickr Pro and rebuilt the collection of photos that Starla Trimm culled from online high school yearbooks. The photos represent womanless school events from 1929 to the present – mostly womanless beauty pageants, Halloween festivities, gender bender days and stage productions.

The 4500+ photos are arranged by the name of the school and sorted into 26 albums, A to Z, but not X (there is also an Unknown Location folders for a handful of images whose location are not known).

There are some duplicates in the collection and I am slowly weeding them out.

Anyway, without further ado, click here to access the Yearbook albums.

And thank you again.

Revisiting Henri

Tropical storm Henri was a bust. Contrary to the weather forecasts, it never reached hurricane status and remained a tropical storm as it spent most of Sunday working its way across the Southern New England dumping just 1.8 inches of rain on my weather station. Its winds were not bad and we never lost power, although other parts of the state were not so lucky.

I Killed My Friend flickr

A femulator at Hanford High School
(Richland, WA) in 1981
I killed my flickr account.

Because of the vast quantity of images I had posted on flickr, I needed a “Pro” account, which only cost $25 per year when I signed up for it back in 2015. Last year, the price increased to $50 per year.

Friday, I received a PayPal receipt indicating that flickr was now charging $7 per month ($84 per year). That was the last straw and I killed my Pro account as quick as a Playboy bunny.

I actually had only a few dozen personal photos on the site, but I also had nearly 5,000 photos of womanless events that Starla culled from online high school yearbooks. I hope to find a new, less expensive home for those images real soon now.

A womanless wedding, circa 1910, put on by the Boys Club in Waterbury, Connecticut. Not the greatest femulations, but I am posting the image for two reasons: (1) Waterbury is my hometown and (2) womanless weddings in Connecticut were rare – in fact, this is the only Connecticut womanless wedding I am aware of.

Got Links

wbp-contestant During the past few weeks, I collected a passel of pertinent links that I am passing along to you today.

Pageants on flickr

Aunty created a new flickr group just for womanless beauty pageant photos. There are some great femulations in her huge collection along with the inevitable bearded femulators, so you will have to separate the wheat from the chaff yourself.

Daily Makeovers

Recently, Daily Makeover had some great articles for girls like us. I recommend subscribing to their daily e-mails so that you don't miss anything.

Life from New York

New York magazine often has good reads for women though male.

First Event

Billed as "The Premier Transgender Conference of the Season," First Event is fast approaching. If the stars align properly and there are no snowstorms in the forecast, I plan to attend at least one day of the conference.

Who Likes Shorts Shorts?

IMG_0300_web Aunty flickrs Womanless

Regular Femulate contributor Aunty has posted a slew of womanless images on flickr. Check it out if you like that sort of thing (and who doesn't?).

True Colors Conference

I will attend and present (“Crossdressing Successfully in the Real World”) at the True Colors Conference next Friday (March 21) at the University of Connecticut.

"True Colors is a non-profit organization that works with other social service agencies, schools, organizations, and within communities to ensure that the needs of sexual and gender minority youth are both recognized and competently met."

Harry Benjamin’s The Transsexual Phenomenon

I was looking for a copy of Harry Benjamin’s classic work The Transsexual Phenomenon. It has been out-of-print for awhile. Amazon had a used copy for $300 (hardcover) and $50 (paperback). However, I found a copy for free here.

Replying to Comments

If you are wondering why I have not replied to your Comments for awhile, the reason is that something in some software somewhere was preventing me from doing so. Each time I tried to reply to a Comment, my reply would vanish when I tried to post it.

I was determined to figure out what was going on. First, I thought that it might be a blog setting that was causing the problem, but no matter how I optioned the settings, the problem persisted.

Then I tried using a different browser and the problem went away. Using Safari, I had no problem replying to Comments (and I replied to over a week's worth). Going back to Chrome and the problem returned. Don’t know why, but I do know the workaround: use Safari.

An Inspiration

Source: flickr

If you are like me, you need a little kick-start on Monday mornings. To help you start the week off on the right foot, I will pass along a link to photos of a French woman who will inspire all the ladies reading this blog.

I actually used a photo of her and her friend in the daily Femulator spot last month. I found the photo on Pinterest, but I did not know who she was until Chris1 commented that she goes by the name French Lolita on flickr.

Viewing her photos, you will see that Lolita has great fashion taste and a great wardrobe to go along with it. She is pretty, too, and so are her friends.

So be inspired and be beautiful this week, ladies!

Back to School

back_to_school_2013
The kids are all back to school and all the femulating students will be looking forward to any opportunity to don their lady apparel and sashay down the hallways for their school’s upcoming gender swaps, womanless beauty pageants, Halloween festivities, womanless fashion shows… any opportunity for a boy to become the girl of his dreams!

Just in time for the first session, Starla has unearthed 139 new images of femulating scholars from various online school yearbooks. A sample of her finds appears above; the remainder are in the Yearbooks collection on flickr and you may view them in two ways:

Method 1: Open one of the Yearbooks sets (A through Z) and you will find the newest uploads at the end/bottom of the set. (The oldest uploads appear at the beginning/top of the set.)

Method 2: Open this photostream and you will find the newest uploads at the top of page 1. The uploads get older as the page numbers get higher with the oldest uploads on the last page.

By the way, the contents of the Yearbook A through Z sets are organized according to school name, for example, the photos from Sacred Heart High School would be in the Yearbooks S set.

A Couple of Things

My Trip

I completed the first leg of my trip, 466 miles in 7-1/2 hours and I am in a hotel on the Ohio side of the Ohio-Pennsylvania border.

I had some MacDonalds cuisine this evening, then painted my toe nails "Innocent Nude" to match my Kiss stick-on finger nails.

After I post this missive, I will trim my eyebrows and go to bed.

Disappearing flickr Account

Many of you have e-mailed me about the disappearance of the flickr account I referred to in Monday's post.

I know nothing about its disappearance and only regret that it did not disappear before I posted about it!

A few people mentioned that this same individual deleted his/her flickr account before, so maybe, it will have a third life.

Male Pageant Queens and Princesses

A few readers alerted me to a collection of womanless beauty pageant photos on flickr that gets bigger and better every time I see it.

I have seen some of the images elsewhere in the past and some of the images have appeared in Femulate, but a lot of the images are new to me and definitely worth checking out if you appreciate that sort of thing (and if you are reading this, I imagine that you do appreciate that sort of thing).

So visit John Jay Smith's flickr site and see over four thousand images!

Words of Wednesday

flickr… Argh!

My flickr account is messed up again. It was reset to free status and 200 images maximum a few days ago. I have a new complaint into flickr and hope the problem will get fixed once and for all or I will take my business elsewhere.

Off Broadway

Aunty Marlena alerted me to a new off-Broadway dance, Summer's Different, about a married with children transwoman. Here is the New York Times review of the dance.

My Dance Card is Filling Up

Yesterday afternoon, I was invited to a party after my ham radio group's banquet next Friday at Hamvention. The party is at a hotel 7 miles from the banquet hall, so I am definitely stopping by.

Google Hitchcock

If you are a fan of Alfred Hitchcock films like I am, visit Google today and view their video honoring Saul Bass, Hitchcock's master of film titles. It is very cool!

Back in Business

smiley-face Thanks to Galen’s comment to my flickr fouled-up post, I learned that if I renewed my flickr Pro account even after my previous Pro account expired, all my previously uploaded images will be restored.

So, I renewed again paying via PayPal without incident and the 3,000 Yearbook Femulation images were restored.

Yay!
