“Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general,” according to Wikipedia.
No harvest here, so I guess I express “gratitude in general.”
Mom and Pop are deceased, but I know that they are around in a spirit-in-the-sky kind of way, so I want to thank them for raising me and not interfering with my feminine ways when I was growing up.
Maybe they could have been a little more encouraging by buying me some dresses to wear around the house (so I wouldn’t have to borrow my sister’s) and buying me some dolls of my very own (so I wouldn’t have to borrow my sister’s). It probably would have made my sister happy, too; I wouldn’t be borrowing her stuff and she would have had a “sister” to play with.
On the other hand, it could have been a lot worse and they could have forced me to be masculine!
So, thank you Mom and Pop for letting me be me.

| I don't know much about this image except that it was posted on a crossdressing Pinterest page. My guess is that it is from the mid-20th Century and that the girl in front is a femulator, but I am not so sure about the girl in back. Is she another femulator or a female friend or relative of the femulator? Your guess may be better than mine. |

While browsing eMusic, I came upon an album cover that set off my trans radar. The album is Popmusic Is My Life by a musical group named CRèME. The album cover reminded me of the back cover of Lou Reed's Transformer LP, which featured a person dressed as a female and a male.
I Googled and Binged, but did not find anything about CRèME that helped explain the album cover. I may be wrong, but I may be right.

Some people were apoplectic over the appearance of drag queens in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The actors who paraded as drag queens are performing in Kinky Boots, the Broadway musical version of the film of the same name.
The apoplectic are the same people who don't want transwomen using ladies’ restrooms. They are so sad.

At One Big Event Saturday night, I chatted with a friend who I had not seen in a long time. I brought her up to date about what I have been doing the past few years. In conclusion, I said, "I find my life very interesting."
She agreed wholeheartedly.
If you have been following along in my blog, I think you will agree with my conclusion, too.
My life is certainly not boring. I admit that those days when I have to be a boy are not as interesting as those days when I am a girl.
But even when I appear in boy mode, my heart and soul are in girl mode as I think about my latest adventures en femme or plot my next adventure en femme.
Would I wish things were different?
I tell everyone who asks that I would live as a girl 24/7 if I had not made commitments that prevent me from doing so. But I wonder if I did live as a girl 24/7, would my life be as interesting as it is now.
Who knows?
Maybe I will find out someday, maybe not, but in either case, thank God, I'm a transwoman!

That being said, I lost ten pounds since mid-September and I want to keep it off, so Thanksgiving will be a challenge for me. Wish me luck!
* Going to New York City the past two years to see Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in person, I sadly discovered that The Radio City Rockettes are not in the parade! They only appear at the end of the parade in front of Macy’s storefront for the television audience.
