Suzanne asked how do I remove arm hair?
Mechanically or chemically was my response.
Mechanically, I use Philips Norelco Bodygroom electric trimmer. It does a good job on my arms, as well as my armpits, back, breasts, legs and even my nether reaches. However, it is not intended for the face or neck. (I took Philips word for it and never tried using it on my face or neck).
Chemically, I use Nair or Veet, but prefer the electric razor because there are certain body parts, my armpits for example, that Nair/Veet will burn. And if I am using Nair/Veet on my arms, it is easy to mistakenly slop some chemical on my pits and it will burn if I don't remove it fas enough. But everybody’s different, so your mileage may vary.

“We can all fight back against Donald Trump’s anti-trans onslaught in our own ways” is an excellent article by Faefyx Collington that appeared at LBGTQNation earlier this week. Subtitled “People are fighting back in major ways already, but trans people don't all have to be activists to justify their existence,” I highly recommend Collington’s piece for all Femulate readers. Click here to read it.
Might I make a comment? The Nair/Veet issue - do a test patch in a small place a little itching will not kill you before you clearcut the forest. I broke out, but I could scratch the side on my rib cage without looking too gauche.
ReplyDeleteHow about that? Fiona seems wiser than my male side that might have gone all-in the first try.
I like your gentleman's outfit in the Someday Funnies segment. If it's AI generated, it's the first one that's reallistic. If not, one very stylish man. The all in blue outfit, even down to the nails and earrings. Very nice. I could see myself in that one someday. Regards, Randi
ReplyDeleteIt's AI, Randi.
DeleteThe AI pictures have suddenly started looking a lot better in the last few days. More realistic, certainly.
DeleteAI images looking more realistic is uncomfortable for me. I do not want to be fooled. I find myself doubting everything I see now. I presume that super realistic AI video will come at some point. Then, where will we be? "Pic or no pic, it still didn't happen." XD

Body Hair; beauty salon and waxing. OK, I
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I need to finally give Nair/Veet a try.
ReplyDeleteAnyone remember Epilady and try that back in the day??????
Good article link too Stana! I think just being out as ourselves is an act we do not always consider, but is an important one.

I have an epilator that I bought years ago. I have hardly ever used it. It hurt like crazy on me. I have a lot of very fine hairs on my body apparently. It really stung to use. I have been contemplating shaving and then using the epilator afterward to pluck the hair as it grows in. I hope that will work... but I haven't tried that for the past two years or more since I got this idea. I've been busy, I guess.
Delete13 years of being on estrogen has greatly minimized my body hair. For my legs I occasionally use a Philips Norelco electric shaver. For my armpits and face, I use a double edged safety razor along with shaving soap that I lather up with a shaving brush. For my face I apply shaving oil before applying the lather. Double edge safety razor blades are cheap; I get 100 blades for about $45.00 and I change the blade out once a week.

The very best shaving lotion I have ever used is the lather from those boutique soaps, the kind that cost $$ and come in a range of scents and colours. They are slippery as heck.
ReplyDeleteI found the best thing for me after shaving my face or body is witch hazel. My legs pits and pubes. May not work for everybody.
ReplyDeleteWhen I do not shave my legs, I use bleaching cream to make my leg hair less noticeable. (I am white-skinned and have dark hair.) I can wear skin-toned pantyhose and the hairs disappear (after they have been bleached at least two times). I cannot wear dark pantyhose when I have my legs bleached because the hair pokes through the hose and is quite apparent.
ReplyDeleteIf you can bleach your hair color down to match your skin color, and then wear skin-toned hosiery, this might work for you.
I was watching some YouTube videos of old talk shows where they were interviewing female impersonators. They were asked about their body hair. One of the guys said that he only shaves his legs. All of his other body hair was bleached. I was happy to learn that I was not the first one to have this idea.
I also shave my neck in the back, down below my collar-line and I shave my chest down to a V-shape in the front. I do not have enough chest hair for it to be obvious. I hardly ever go without a shirt these days. I even swim with a shirt on.

I was born with no hair follicles on my legs, thighs and calves, and no hair follicles at my underarms. My wife curses me with "It's wasted on a guy!" as she nicks her legs while shaving. Until my late 50's I did not have hair on my torso when sparse hair appears on my stomach. When I venture forth from my abode I wear a long sleeve dress or some covering on my forearms. I would not shave my forearms as they are scarred from "jungle rot" and the effects of aging.
