That cartoon reminds me of this past winter on a Sunday morning in the Dallas-Fort Worth area where the temperature was 15 degrees F/-7.5 degrees C. I wore a sweater dress to church. Everybody else was wearing trousers. During coffee hour I sat down at a table with several women. I quipped, "I guess it takes a man to wear a dress", and did I get a reaction from the women.
Light snow is great for practicing your walk. You can look back and see precisely where every high-heeled step landed. And if you are happy with the result, you can slip your mobile out your handbag and record it. Penny from Edinburgh.
I've commented on boards before how my wife use to curse the freezing weather when we waited on the elevated platform waiting for the Flushing line in NYC. At that time period the required attire for her was skirt/dress, heels and hosiery in her office environment. As a five foot two, blue-eyed, curly-haired beauty I am sure the dirty old men in the office stopped by her desk many times just to chat. She was not use to freezing weather. Me? Although it does not get freezing too many times where we live now, I do enjoy a evening stroll in cold weather, especially if there is gently falling snow.
This picture reminds me of the ladies I used to see in Quebec City. Many were dressed to the nines, no matter how frigid it was, but a lot of them wore fashionable boots though, probably from the cold, as well as the cobblestone streets and walkways in Old Quebec. Norah
Another fabulous weather funny! When I was in college, one snowy morning my girlfriend chose to wear denim cutoffs and black pantyhose to class. When I asked if she would be warm enough, she replied "you underestimate the power of pantyhose!" Oh, I am fully aware of the power of pantyhose!!

I feel like I've heard the "walk in heels" comment any time I've been to a formal event and I'm so tempted to reply "yes I do, it's fabulous!"
