I am not a summer person. I don't like the heat, hate humidity more, and dread summerwear because the clothes of summer are too revealing.
It is not that I mind showing a little skin, but it requires a lot of hair removal. For example, when I wear a skimpy bikini to the beach, it requires hours of depilation.
I prefer autumn. The clothes are less revealing and require less prep in the hair removal department. Also, under the cover of fallwear, women like us can use all sorts of shapewear and surgical tape to mold our bodies into more feminine figures.
Finding the right shapewear can make a big difference in achieving a feminine silhouette. Here are some of the best options for femulators:
Breast Forms: These are essential for creating a natural-looking bust. They come in various shapes and sizes, so you can choose one that best suits your body type.
Hip Pads: These pads add volume to the hips and thighs, helping to create an hourglass figure. They are designed to be worn under clothing and can instantly enhance your curves1.
Girdles: These help to smooth out the waist, and hips, creating a more streamlined silhouette.
Corsets and Waist Cinchers: These are great for cinching the waist and creating a more defined waistline. They can be worn under clothing for a more dramatic effect.
Gaff Panties: These are designed to help with tucking and provide a smooth front appearance.
Each of these products can help you achieve a more feminine look and feel more confident in your appearance.
This is just an overview of what is available to help girls like us to be more like girls like them. Future posts will take a closer look at the various shapewear options.

DeleteOver the years, my budget has required me to be more creative on my "body sculpting". I started using balloons filled with water for breast forms. (NOTE: I did not say WATER balloons. They're too thin and designed to pop. I use regular, helium grade balloons filled with water) They provide the right amount of weight, I can change my cup size whenever I want, they last a LONG time (I had one pair for over a year) and in the midst of Summer Heat, I put them in the fridge for an hour before inserting them in my bra -- keeps me cool and comfy!
ReplyDeleteClever! Proudly wear them. What do you do to pre-warm them in the winter?
DeleteThis is hilarious Julie on such a cool hack. You dont get that with rice but water gives a nicer bounce and makes them feel more alive.
DeleteYou are a genius Julie! I've used silicone breast forms for over a decade, but never thought to put them in the fridge. They could probably handle the freezer as well.

I used to feel a little guilty about all the shaping required to achieve a more feminine body. If I needed a gaff, (homemade) breastforms, waist cincher, etc, perhaps I wasn't *supposed* to have a curvy figure. But one walk through a women's shapewear department and a gaze at all the items that genetic women use to create a more shapely silhouette cured my guilt.
ReplyDeleteShapewear is normal especially if you wear Yoga pants but it does make one feel special. I had a scare with one I got recently and I thought all was contained when it fell out. Well I didnt notice a bathroom slit so now I wear a panty.
DeleteThe hair removal process may be worth it to wear that Bebe dress!
ReplyDeleteI don't need breast forms or hip pads as I have natural curves. However, I need to win the Battle of the Bulge and drop at least 22 pounds (10 kg).
ReplyDeleteI did have an interesting encounter. After shopping at Albertsons, I started loading groceries into my vehicle when I heard a woman called out to me, "Are you Connie?" I replied, "No, I'm John" with my usual masculine voice. Surprisingly she did not react to my voice or my name. She wished me a good day and I did likewise.
I was wearing an above the knee dress with geometric patterns, along with painted nails and sandals. And I had a purse slung over my shoulder.

Wouldnt that be a fun trip…a year at Casa Susanna!
ReplyDeleteThe best thing about summer is you don’t need a jacket and everyone can see the dress/skirt/etc you spent time deliberately choosing!
ReplyDeleteI've never had a problem with a hairy body: no hair follicles on legs and back and so few chest hairs it does not make a difference if I were to shave or not. It's genes I inherited from my father. My wife says it's "wasted on a guy." A close shave lasts all day with no beard shine at all. I'm a fan of large size party balloons and have had but one malfunction over the decades. Usually, any imperfection in manufacturing can be discovered while filling. I like the fact I can change bust size. Maybe, I am frugal also. In the decades gone-bye my love for nylon slips was fed by seasonal colors. Today, it is the mundane white, black and beige. In the fall the colors changed to dark greens, browns, purples/lavenders, dark grey, navy, etc. I eagerly awaited the seasonal displays of Christmas reds and greens. Valentine's Day brought reds and pinks. Spring brought pastels of pink, yellows, light greens, light blues. Maybe, Elizabeth Taylor in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" suggested a lacy sexy slip lead to adventures in the boudoir. For those of us who are not all that adventurous the fall is great. The cover of darkness descend earlier in the evening which is great for an evening stroll in a pretty dress and a light sweater.
ReplyDeleteThis year I found a great line of dresses by PrAna. They are more on the casual side, but still pretty. I love that they are designed to be worn braless, and have a built in bra of sorts. Upon further investigation, I discovered the built in bra actually had a pocket to remove the modesty pad for washing, and breast forms could slip right in! The empire waist makes undergarments less needed. A better summer dress for femulation could not be designed better if they tried.
ReplyDeleteAside from that, I have always loved the 90's style of a tee shirt under a sun dress. I'm always cold anyway and welcome the extra layer. Now if the makeup would just not melt......
