Whitney attended the prom en homme in 1999 with a drag queen named Butterfly on his/her arm. “The girls who saw Butterfly... knew the truth right away, and were distraught that a man looked so much better in that dress than they did.”
It's like Christmas in July with all these prom photos! I'm not at all surprised by all the "I wish I wore a dress to my prom" comments, but I have a followup question to anyone who may want to answer. If you could go back in time and dress en femme to prom, who would you want as your date: a male in a tuxedo, a female in a prom gown, or a female in a tuxedo?
Hi Elise, a female in a gown would be my choice. If I didn't have a girlfriend to take in a gown though, I don't think I'd mind going with Butterfly myself! LOL If you're going to rock the boat, why not flip the bugger over and make a splash! She looks fabulous as well, and to have the opportunity to learn just a smidge of whatever techniques she uses would be well worth the price of admission. I do agree this has been a great series. So many great photos! Norah
No wonder Fred could not get a date to the prom. As much as I hate suits and prefer dresses, if I have to wear a man's coat and tie outfit, I observe the following items: 1) If you wear a tie the top button needs to be buttoned. 2) Look at the pants as short as they are. They should touch the shoes. 3) You wear dress shoes with a suit, not sneakers.
I could be persuaded to wear a tuxedo in order to be Fred's date to prom!
