Cathy Marie; what lovely evening dress. Lucky lady. I keep looking for an evening dress and when I find one that would fit and I like, look at the price and realise that I'd never get any value from it.
Well I was very lucky. There is this lovely older woman selling on Ebay, I call my auntie, and she is always on the lookout for items that just might help turn her nephew into her niece. She found this dress and sent it to me.
Posting a "Him and Her" photo has always scared me. "What if someone I know who DOESN'T know Julie sees this??" "Once something gets on line it NEVER dies, and you NEVER know where it will end up""Will people look at my pics and think 'OMG, is he seriously trying to pass?'" However, seeing these Sisters here reminds me that if someone I know sees my pics here, then what are THEY doing on THIS site? Hmmmmm . . . Still undecided, but leaning more toward it.
If I was retired I would willingly post a before/after. Unfortunately, pictures like these do tend to leak beyond their intended destinations so I think it wise to be cautious. Years ago when I had a facebook account, photos got into the wrong hands and I suddenly unknowingly became hot gossip at work. Never again!
Julie, I completely understand where you're coming from. I'd be cautious. A number of years ago I had my photo taken at an event and I worry it'll show up online. Fortunately I've aged enough that no one would guess it was me. I hope.
When I was a small boy I was all dressed up as a girl along with about nine other boys who were also dressed up as girls to appear on a summer day camp stage in a skit. I didn't volunteer. It was just done. Often, I have wondered if there are any photographs of me from that day. I know that my parents didn't take any. In fact, they had no idea I would be dressed as a girl until they saw me. I was too afraid to tell them I was going to be a girl because I was embarrassed.
I'd be curious to see a photo, but also it scares me. Stana, if you have that photo in a file it's probably a grainy black and white Polaroid, and our dresses had to be circa 1961. I can't remember what color mine was, but the photo wouldn't show it. And since so much time has passed no one would know it was me. It would be fun to see.

It's an awful thing to do to a young boy.
Cathy Marie looks fabulous. Thanks for sharing.
