I had my first physical therapy session at home yesterday and the therapist said I was making good progress.
I am still surprised about the level of pain I am enduring... not much at all and certainly much less than I expected.
Again, I want to thank you all for the positive thoughts you have been sending my way.
Fabulous news! Hopefully you're up and dancing in no time!
ReplyDeleteCiao! Elise
Excellent news, just follow instructions and you'll soon be up out and about again.
ReplyDeleteGreat news! You'll be in heels again soon!
ReplyDeleteGet well! I hope the Dr. used super glue and not staples! You don't want to have those funny scars on those sexy legs! :)
ReplyDeleteHe used glue. Thank you for the "Get well!"
DeleteEarly recipients of knee replacements looked like someone had used their knee for sabre practice. Gradually the scars became smaller. My hip replacement scar from 2006 is over a foot long and on the distal side of my hip. My neighbor's from last year is about 4" and on the inside of his hip. The scar on my leg from my 1996 bypass is 4" short of the entire length of my right leg. The scar from the 2005 bypass arthroscopic removal of my great saphenous vein is about 1/8 inch. I'm curious about your scar and how technology has improved.
DeleteDuring the holidays, I asked my cousin about the scar (she had recently had the knee replacement surgery) and she happily lifted the hem of her skirt to show me her scar and I had to look closely to see anything. I am taped up now, so it is hard to say the extent of my scar, but the taping starts just above the knee and extends about 6 inches down my leg.
DeleteKeep it up, Sweetie. You'll be tap dancing in no time!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm. Stana, were you a tap dancer before the knee replacement, or is that a bonus included with the surgery? Ha!
