The price of clothing is near an all-time low, as "fast fashion" labels dominate the supply chain. Buying most of my clothing on-line (try finding 12 and 14 Tall sizes in a normal retail store), I rely on the help of a superb seamstress to alter many garments to fit me. With prices so inexpensive, I put the savings into alterations.
Does anyone else still spend money on a seamstress? It seems like a disappearing craft, much like cobblers or appliance repair.
A stapler is very good for emergency repairs to a skirt or dress hem Just make sure the tips of the staples are pointing away from your stockings or pantyhose Lucy
