Hi Lucy, I had a gf in college who decided to wear a short denim skirt, black pantyhose, and boots to class one winter day. (This was the 90s and outfits like that were common.) When I asked her if she was warm enough, she replied "you underestimate the power of pantyhose!" I wanted so badly to tell her that I was fully aware of the power of pantyhose: both as a lovely item of clothing to look at on a woman's legs and as an irresistible item to wear:)
Elise You have to protect your modesty by making sure the wind does not lift your skirt and crouching rather than bending to keep your rear end covered at all times Lucy
Hi Lucy, In case you aren't up on US tv references (since I'm not sure where you're from), the "shrinkage" caption title reminded me of a Seinfeld episode where they discussed what happens to certain male anatomy when it gets cold. And Elaine's comment (which, in my opinion, is one of the funniest lines in tv history) is "I don't know how you guys walk around with those things!" I am reminded of this phrase almost every time I tuck the parts away:)
I was a referee for intramural football games in law school and it was so cold that lacking long johns, I wore pantyhose under my jeans to keep warm. And it worked.
Hi Stana, could you please point me to the undoctored source picture for the Someday Funnies: Shrinkage entry ? I've tried Google image search but to no avail.
Try waiting in the freezing cold for the elevated #7 Flushing line in Queens, NY in that short skirt. My wife was required to wear dresses for her receptionist job in Manhattan. A long coat did not help much as the elevated platform did not offer any protection against the wind. That's one reason we now live in her home town.
I'm also reminded of one of your cartoons reading, "It seems to me that the winters are colder since I started crossdressing". You're a treasure, Stana!
Now that’s funny!!🤣...and so true😃
ReplyDeleteI think the solo Femulator has ignored his daughter's advice that his skirt is too short for this time of the year

DeleteBeen there done that Stana. For me it was coaching hockey. Long Johns were too bulky under my jeans to skate. Solution...pantyhose!

ReplyDeleteI love it! "Tie a string around it"!

Any skirt paired with 40 through 100 den tights (mercury dependent) will get you through the winter!
ReplyDeleteAlso, anybody able to read the handwritten note at the top right of the group photo?
