You got that right! After our office re-opened "post" Covid, I added makeup until I was wearing lip liner/stick/gloss, eye liner, eye shadow, mascara, blush, and definitely non-boy earrings and other jewelry, painted nails. Oh, and a B-padded bra. Over the months at the office, exactly one person mentioned my "new look". I know other people noticed, but... nobody cared. During that time, I made regular trips to the local supermarket after work, also no comments although I did get "ma'am'd" a few times. And although I'm pretty much retired from my computer repair work, I did see two long-time clients. One asked about and said she liked my "new look." The other said nothing but e-mailed me mentioning my appearance (complimentary).
I would agree generally no body cares. I have been out many times in blending type dress and I know I don't pass all the time I have had a few strange looks , probably because I am so beautiful LOL, but nothing has ever been said. Sallee
Femulating has both up sides and down sides as Stanley has just found out

Nobody, as you said, cares.

I believe I recognize Van Heflin. Who is the actress? From the still, I'd guess it's a film noir. Gene Tierney, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteIt's Van Heflin and Beverly Michaels in the 1949 film East Side, West Side.
