While this has nothing to do with today's post it is a question to you and or your readers. In a discussion with a female friend we got to talking about "old" foundation garments and brought up the topics of All In Ones, which was a combind bra and gridle all in one. My friend said you (me) were lucky you never had to wear one...so I was thinking, did you remember them, did you or your readers ever wear one and do they still make those garments. She said they were big in the late 50s and early to mid 50s. Can you share one of your many stories?
I wore all-in-ones throughout the 1970s. They used metal stays to shape your figure and they did a superb job doing it! Somewhere along the way, they stopped using metal stays and the "all-in-ones" (or "body briefers") that followed did not offer the shaping power of the old metal-stay models. I literally wore out my last metal-stay model and I still miss it. They still sell so-called all-in-ones/body briefers, for example, I know that Rago sells them.
