WOW!!! I guarantee you that he looks and acts better than most of the G.G.'s I see as I go to work, At work & after work using public transportation system where I live.
Stana, That captioned image is one of your three best ever. One of the other two is also set in a hairdresser with one woman asking: 'How long have you been living as a woman?', and the other replying: 'Not long enough.' The other, which is my favourite is of two women in a sitting room, and one says to the other something like: 'Stanley, you dress so well as a woman, that someone might think you actually want to be one', and the other woman thinking: 'Bingo!' I found a link to Ken Chan's performance as Destiny Rose - and was staggered by how authentic it was. https://www.flickr.com/photos/187074060@N08/albums/72157713132561183/with/53474191361 If I looked as good as Ken does in this role, I'd have to think very hard about my future. The problem is - he may well just be an actor with no real interest in femulating - and so perhaps he treated it as just another job. I did wonder though if he dressed completely 'en femme' for the role.. ie, with lingerie to match. We're all a self-selecting group here so I imagine that a massive majority of us - if we were Ken - would elect to 'go the distance' if we looked this good.
Ken is the best.
ReplyDeleteI'm always curious on what actors learn even they have to portray a character from a different gender/sexuality of their own.
ReplyDeleteNot just the research they may do, but what do they experience during production.
There's an idea for an interview 🙂
