Crossdressing May Be Hazardous to Your Health

Yesterday, I had a luncheon date with my lady friends. I was all dressed up (see photo) and ready to drive to the restaurant a half hour away.

Before I left, I checked myself out in the mirror and noticed some hairs that I missed while shaving. So I went upstairs and used my electric razor to remove them.

On my way down the stairs, I slipped with three steps to go and landed flat on my face on the rug at the bottom of the stairs. Blood exited my nose and a small gash on my forehead. There were bad rug burns on my nose and below my nose. I also bloodied my good knee. I no longer resembled the accompanying photo.

No way could I look presentable for the luncheon, so I called Diana that I would be a no-show.

I cleaned myself up and applied band-aids where needed.

I was very upset that I missed a day out en femme. And it may be awhile before I can go out again. (How long does it take rug burns on your face to heal?).

Update: I was wearing heels when I fell, but I don’t think that was the cause. I had already been up and down the stairs a half dozen times in heels before the fall. However, by then I was running a little late,  hurrying to get on the road ASAP and was not as careful as I should be going down the stairs.

  2. Hope you are OK! That has nothing to do with crossdressing, it's missing a step. Last time I did it I was barefoot and missed one. Decide an old judo ukemi is called for, executed perfectly - and I realized a breakfall even done right onto a rug hurts a LOT more than it would have 30 years ago on concrete. Rolled over the shoulder, thought I broke it, not even a mark, in 2 minutes it was back. Never fell on stairs in heels.. maybe because I watch it. An internet friend said she knew I was pretty good in heels when I told her the night before coming down in heels in the dark I clocked my head hard enough to see stars - on the place the master bedroom closet overhangs the stairs ... I'm over 6 feet without the stilettos.... but I still didn't fall, and i was not holding the railing.

  3. Ouch 🙁 Sorry to hear you had a tumble, Stana. It's easily done on stairs if we're unlucky.

Hopefully the injuries will go quickly 🤞

  5. Stana,

Probably 7 to 10 days. Thankfully no broken bones.
Just relax because we all are awaiting your adventures.

  7. Oh dear! So sorry to hear that your day was messed up. Perhaps this is a consolation - just put this in the context of all the other times you have been out and about! One question: were you wearing heels? I for one have this worry about heels and platform shoes and stairs.

  10. I wish you a fast recovery. I am a cyclist, when I don't dress en-femme, and 2 weeks ago, when I was on a vacation, I fell with my bike, pretty badly. Nothing was broken, but I was afraid, I can't dress nicely and wear heels for a while. Well, I still have 2 bondages on my arm and leg, but at least I can walk in heels :)

  13. Sad to hear that Stana. Hope you mend quickly. I've discovered recently that I am not quite what I used to be so I now hold onto the handrail. I had a similar fall which taught me that lesson but it's hard to remember at times when one never used to use the rail...

  14. I glad that it wasn’t serious and nothing was broken.
There were just the two of us at lunch, beside you the two others were a no show. One her dog ate something it shouldn’t have, and the other is MIA. She hasn’t answered an email yet, I hope she is okay.
I’m up on the Cape until after Fantasia Fair and will be back on the Cape in November after the elections, so maybe we can try again the November 2nd or the 9th.

  15. hate to deliver bad news but at a certain age this is something you have to watch out for.. and it seems that it is less likely that you can be fast enough as b/4 to get your hands up to cushion the fall.actually-heels make me more aware of the falling problem --i.e. less likely to be distracted-emily

    1. My point as well. Add age, heels, meds, and yes you can wind up dazed, sitting in the walkin shower, while aimed for the throne.
My physician asks about 'slip/falls' incidents in the past 6 months.
I recall my elderly father having a trip, fall on the sidewalk seam, and dislocated his shoulder. Take care.

  16. Frau Blucher said it best I think: "The stairs can be very treacherous." I think we forget sometimes, just how right she was. Stana, so sorry you took a spill. The injuries notwithstanding, it ruined a perfect opportunity for some quality girl-time. That's the real tragedy me thinks. Get well soon.

  19. Ladies: I love all of you and Ms. Stana darling I'm sorry to hear that you fell down the stairs wearing high heels and hurt yourself. We all need to put our big girl bras & panties on and receive constructive criticism from each other occasionally whether we like it or not-It makes us better & stronger to take it and use it as a learning lesson. I've learned to not take anything for granted especially my health which includes planning and executing my daily life routines.
I have also learned to build in extra time into every area of my daily life. Pros-Time to get things done & usually have some extra time, LESS TO NO STRESS!!! Cons-If you don't do it then all kinds of bad things can happen to you at the worst possible time including excessive stress which will result in all kinds of health related problems. Ladies, I learned the hard way-Three trips to the Emergency Room in two months due to having some of the symptoms of an oncoming STROKE!!!
All due to too much/excessive stress in my life. So please do this older mature lady a favor-Slow Down!!! Sit down with a nice chilled glass of purified water, Unload those sexy high heels off of your feet femme fatales and start planning out your days and stick to your plans as much as possible building in a little extra time in every area of your lives. You will feel better overall in the long run along.
Hugs & Kisses, Stacey AKA (Ms. Missi).
