While creating this ad parody, I discovered that Rago’s website has a Transgender-Conscious webpage which says, “Rago’s line of transgender-conscious shapewear products will help you feel confident and comfortable as you take on the day. Our smoothing body shaping undergarments will have you feeling authentically you, inside and out. With transgender panty briefs, thigh slimmers, legging/capri pant shapers, girdles, and body briefers in a variety of colors and sizes, we’ve got a piece that is perfect for you.” And so it goes!

Seeing that Rago has a transgender section makes me feel so good. I remember the days when shopping for lingerie meant raised eyebrows in mainstream stores or transgender shops in seedy neighborhoods with poor selection and over priced goods.

Nice hair but could do with a new razor..!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you there, Hon' Razor first, beard cover second!
DeleteThe only time I ever saw Ricky Renee' was in Cabaret -- and in many photos, of course. I know she worked The Jewel Box Revue from time to time, but my times watching them and her times performing never were the same. She was absolutely stunning.
DeleteEven better, Rago has a "Forgotten Women" section of new but traditionally styled foundations

I wonder how much of Rago's sales are to CDs and TGs. After all, who else would be nostalgic for girdles?
The photo above makes me wonder how many of gals bother with hair removal and makeup when we're in private. (Obviously we're all decked out in public.) I know I don't bother with shaving or makeup if I'm just staying indoors. Or do you have to go all-out even if you're by yourself?
There's a vintage lingerie purveyor in the UK, whose marketing pitch seems to be to genetic women, not to femulators: What Katie Did. (https://www.whatkatiedid.com/en-us). The founder really fancies the 1950s. The website looks like a Betty Page scrapbook.
