The first time I went out fully dressed to a CD/TG event I was sure everyone in Baltimore was waiting to gawk at me. It took me 15-20 minutes to get out of my car and walk maybe 30 yards into the meeting location. Once in the meeting I was immediately in a comfort zone. After the meeting several of the ladies were going to a local restaurant just down the street and later to a bar with a drag show. I just bopped right along with them! To hell with all those eyes in Baltimore!
There's much truth in today's "Someday Funnies". Not only were we safer in our group (gaggle?), but whether we were read or not was the least of our thoughts. And here was "Ms. Earlier Scared Mikki", borrowing confidence from the other girls not the slightest bit concerned about gawkers! I absorbed so much confidence from the girls that at the end of tour evening I walked the 2 blocks back to my car by myself, still not concerned with what anyone thought of this buffalo-sized crossdresser!
I love both your Someday Funnies and Femulator photos.
The woman in the dark coat catches my eye; I guess I need to get a suitable hat to go with my black belted double-breasted raincoat to get a similar style. Also, I am a great fan of skirt suits.
In any event, your retro photos from the 40s, 50s and 60s usually cheer me up.
Both ladies in the Femulator photo look rather lovely. I can't make up my mind whether the lady on the right is the wife of the one on the left or a rather good femulator.
If you want a beautiful vintage-styled hat, I recommend Boston Millinery, which has a shop on Etsy. I fancy the 1920s, but few ladies in 1925 would have worn an XL size. I have no financial interest in the business, but do love what I’ve purchased there.
Stana, I can relate to the message in today's Someday Funnies. I love being out with a couple of my girlfriends, but I am a lot less comfortable in a gaggle. Of course, it might not be the size of the crowd that gets me; it could be the fact that all those other girls are stealing attention away from me.
A group of Femulators will attract attention, the same as a group of non TG women, and be read A Femulator on her own, hopefully, will not get a second glance and be accepted as any other woman in the street Lucy
I've been trolling the internet for CD/TG stories and photos for many years. That tall/short (Mutt and Jeff for us very old-timers) pair of ladies are at a Southern Comfort Conference. I don't know where the tall CD beauty is from, but the shorter, very attractive lady is also a CD who is from Central America. I've seen many photo spreads of her over the years. She's just one of us femulators who happens to be on the small side, possibly petite, and very passable. If you look hard you'll see a bicep muscle you seldom, if ever, see on a cis woman.

There's certainly no "ugly" in that group!

I believe that both ladies are femulators.
