I know that your "Someday Funnies" are simply meant to be jokes, yet today's also makes the serious point that the need to cross dress, or for some of us transition, does not decline with age ~ indeed for some the older we get the harder it becomes to resist the need to not only release our feminine side, but to have the world recognise it.
Right you are, Paula. I'm halfway into my 80th year and still ordering dresses from Venus. I'll be wearing one of them when I go to see The Trocaderos this coming Friday! It seems the urge just gets stronger and my will to resist, which never was that strong, continues to fade. Oh, darn. Ha!
1) LOVE the suit - I'd gladly Femulate Her in that outfit 2) I actually was in a movie with Dave Coulier, wonderful fellow with a great sense of humor.
My first glance at the Femulator picture I thought it was Tom Hanks and the late Peter Scolari (RIP), from 'Bosom Buddies". Then I saw it was Bob Sagat (RIP) and Dave Coulier. I'd say Bob and Dave's femulation was better.
when i first saw the above femulator pic, i thought it was tom hanks and his late chum in "bosom buddies"! was it supposed to be a skit on that? even if not, then to me they are still clearly men in dresses rather than convincing female imitators. as opposed to catherine at liliane for example, of whom (thanks to stana) i have felt compelled to watch many of their shows on youtube - despite not understandng most of what they are saying!
Thanks to Stana I've been watching Catherine and Liliane on you tube also. The femulation in their videos is magnificent! I don't understand what they are saying either, but they are playing convincing female characters.
On "Bosom Buddies" the femulation isn't very good at all but that's kind of part of the joke. Originally, the show was supposed to be regular 'buddies comedy' taking advantage of the comedic timing of the two stars (Hanks and Scolari). But the network insisted on the idea of a "Some Like It Hot" situation with the guys having to dress like women. They weren't really supposed to be convincing females. By the second season their secret was common knowledge to all the characters but it didn't matter anymore. If there had been a third season the boys wouldn't have dressed at all.

ReplyDeleteAmen, Paula. As the years go by, the urge grows.
