Thirteen years later, after 4,688 posts, the blog is as popular as ever. It averages about 5,000 hits per day and I receive lots of blog-related e-mails.
The blog consumes a lot of time and effort. The pay stinks and about once a week, I feel like pulling the plug. But then I receive an e-mail from someone saying that the blog motivated her to get out of the closet and experience the world as the woman she really is.
E-mails like that make it all worthwhile and motivate me to keep on blogging... at least for another week.

I doubt that you will ever know the good that your blog does to help so many. It is informative and inspirational. Please keep on keeping on. Many look forward to your posts.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pat!
DeleteCongratulations! I don't know exactly how long I've been visiting - pretty close to the beginning, I think - but I couldn't get by now without my daily dose of your wisdom and whimsy.
ReplyDeleteBut - shouldn't that be "13" if it's from 2007 to 2020? (Hard to believe sometimes that they even had an Internet back then ...)

I am still writing 2019 on my checks, too! Thank-you for the correction, Diane, and also thank you for the kind words.
DeleteDear Stana,
ReplyDeleteFEMULATE is the only TG blog I faithfully follow. Your past idea to only post 1 to 3 days a week was a good one. After first announcing that decision (almost a year ago, I think), at first you did just post once or twice a week. Gradually, you have increased the number of posts to 3 to 5 posts per week.
When you’re feeling overwhelmed by posting more than twice a week, I hope you’ll feel comfortable reducing your posts to that level (rather than ending your lovely blog permanently). I hope you don’t feel pressure to produce your blog.
I will love whatever posts you do create going forward. I’m thinking of two or your favorite “catch phrases” ...
“Your mileage may vary”
... so just post whenever you truly feel like it
and
“And so it goes”.
Love,
Sheila.
Stana,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the vast amount of energy, wisdom, so many little things that you have helped so many of us with over the years.

Stana,
ReplyDeleteThank you for all that you do for us. Your energy, emthumism, and all the little things are so important for us, to learn how to go forward and out into the world. I know you have been a blessing for so many girls. Please continue your blog would be sorely missed, by some many.
Agein thanks..
Happy Anniversary, Stana! Thank you for all the insight, wisdom, uplift and humor!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on making another year. Feedback is great - particularly if it's how someone has been inspired to start their journey.
ReplyDeleteNothing unlucky about this 13... it is a great number!! Count me in with those who are very thankful that you are continuing with Femulate. Your efforts are appreciated far more than I can express here. Once again, THANK YOU.
ReplyDeleteAlways,
Lee
You have been doing a magnificent service! You're an inspiration and I hope that this year I'll be one of the girls that came out of the closet and experienced the world en femme! I can't thank you enough for everything you do. Much love and gratitude, Christina
