No End in Sight

I thank you for all the emails and comments regarding the end of this blog. They were eye-opening! I had no idea how much this blog meant to so many of you.

So I have decided not to end this blog. Rather, I will write posts on an occasional basis.

With that, I present a lovely poem sent to me by Susan.
Like a welcomed cup of coffee
she started my day
Power on, get on line and see
what Stana has to say
With a passion for fashion
and advice to relate,
she summed it up
with one word she invented: Femulate!
As a blog it was subtle,
no bravado, no alarms
It felt more like a family
We are sisters-in-arms
Now the run is over
All good things must end
Good luck and thank you
I hope I can call you a friend

  2. News of my retirement has been greatly exaggerated? 😉

How about setting a goal of once a week/month? Just to give yourself a pace and a deadline to keep your oar in?

    PS: Welcome back 😁

  5. Thank you. Thanks should also go to the 90+ commenters and especially to Susan, my nominee for poet laureate.
When the muse strikes please go with it. For insight on the merit of the muse shout out to Meg.
Very glad to have you stay on whatever basis makes the most sense to you.

  6. Dear Stana,

Lovely news! Thank You so much for being willing to continue your blog on a less rigorous schedule ... or no schedule at all. Whenever the mood strikes you, I and your many devoted readers will love getting a new post.

    Love,

    Sheila.

  10. Stana, I was too busy to express my feelings when you announced the demise of your wonderful blog. Part of my issue was finding the time to find the words to say because the blog is of such value to the community while still realizing that you need to control your life. Having said what I just did, I TRULY appreciate the decision you have made to keep it alive and the effort you will put forward to keep it up to your high standards. THANK YOU.

  13. Glad to hear this, Stana. I've had many moments when I've wanted to write "This is the End" on my blog but feelings change over time so if you can override the impulse, you'll find that you do indeed have more to say (and the desire to say it). :)

  14. I was surprised to see your post "The End" because I so enjoyed your blog and I knew that I would miss it and so would many others. I liked your posts about fashion and the ones that talked about your life as a transgender person too. Glad you are still here.

  15. I'm only surprised at your surprise, Stana. But after a while and over the years, producing such a useful and informative Blog must have become a chore. The small tsunami of thank you messages, many including what you've meant to us, gave you a sample of what you have meant to us. There are lots of us, Hon'

I'm suggesting to all subscribers that we make a regular habit of sending thank you notes to Stana and telling her how she's helped make our femulating lives just a little better.

We love you, Stana! You deserve a vacation, hiatus, whatever. Today's gift is to let us know you'll still be connecting with us. How lucky can a girl -- a gaggle of girls, to be more accurate -- get??

  16. Love today's photo. Who in hell wants to be a "civilian"?? I have a pretty white dress. I'll stop by the milliner's shop on the way. Now, where is that line?

  22. Dear Stana,
I’m so glad your going to continue to post even if not regularly which is quite understandable.
I would really miss you, your just part of .. how shall I put it .. the woodwork(?)
And another thing, which is very important to me.
If you stopped I wouldn’t be at the top of your ‘T-people & friends Links’ list anymore!!!!!
Seriously. It would just not be the same without you around.
Just keep in touch as sporadic as you want.

just tuned in to pick up a site from your links and overjoyed to see that the response to your decision has melted your heart. I can believe you have been overwhelmed by the pressure to write a blog entry daily. It will be much easier if you can write when you have some news to impart or something you wish to get off your chest when you feel like it. It then becomes fun again instead of a chore.
    Best wishes

  24. Allow me to express a hearty "WOO", followed by an equally heart-felt "HOO"!
Seriously, thank you for continuing. Even a little bit of Stana is better than no Stana at all!

  25. So glad to see that you are back.
A stye can be a real bitch. I've generally eventually had success with the warm compresses. But I found that I had to be persistent and even keep it up a while after it had drained and I thought that I was done with it.
