Dreamland

Most mornings, I awake with no memory of my latest trip to Dreamland. On the other hand, approximately one in ten mornings, I do recall my latest trip and I estimate that in half my trips, I am male me and in the other half, I am female me.

My female me trips can be divided in two: either I dream that I am a woman or I dream I am femulating.

Last night, I dreamed I was femulating and it was extraordinary on two counts.

Usually my dreams include family and friends, both alive and deceased, but last night, my dream was populated by strangers.

Secondly, last night I dreamed I was getting ready to be a bridesmaid in someone's wedding. I never dreamed about being in a wedding party before, so it was nice to experience a dream with a different plot.

Two distinct memories from my bridesmaid dream: I was frantic about my wig – no matter what I did, I could not style it satisfactorily. Also I recall being upset because it  took so long to prepare for the wedding that whiskers began popping through my makeup! With that, the dream ended.

And so it goes!

  1. It is interesting that I also have many dreams that have me presenting as a woman. Dreams are odd. Some you remember vividly and other vanish from memory almost instantly.
About 8-9 years ago I used Chantix to quit smoking. It worked. One of the side effects of the drug was vivid dreams. They were not kidding for the month that I took the medication and for about 5 months after that I had the most vivid dreams of my life. Many, if not most, had me femulating. I made a log of those dreams so I could go back and reference them at a later time

  2. Dear Stana,

I’m shocked that you thought there were only strangers in your dream last night! I was the tall bridesmaid on your left. I had secretly slipped you a HARRY’S RAZOR behind our gowns to handle the bristles that were sprouting through your makeup. I’m disappointed that you didn’t recognize a long-time devoted reader and thought I was just another stranger!!!

My feelings are hurt, but I still love you,

    Sheila.

  3. Wow - I hadn't thought about this dream for many years. But a frequent one for me involved coming out to my family. I told them all about my dressing, and they wanted to meet Julie. So I started getting dressed and NEVER FINISHED! I was constantly adjusting my clothes, wig, make up or SOMETHING - and when they started asking through the door if I was ever coming out, I'd wake up!
What does THAT say, I wonder. Hmmmmmmmm . . .

  5. Oh the nightmares that we dream. The part about the whiskers is the worse part.
