My leg checked out ok and all I have to do now is heal.
My wellness appointment went well, too. To tell you the truth, I was concerned about my wellness because I have not had a check-up since the last century and you never know. But I left the appointment a very happy camper. My bloodwork indicated that among other things, my cholesterol, electrolytics and prostate were good and I had no sign of diabetes.
The only thing left to do is a colonoscopy which is scheduled for next month.
And so it goes.

Mammogram good?
ReplyDeleteI had a great mammogram!
DeleteGlad to see that you're well. Sorry that, as you live in the US, you will have an expensive colonoscopy (which has a small but defined risk of injury or death) for routine screening. Other countries use colonoscopies far more selectively, with a simple poop test for the routine screening.
ReplyDeleteI am not too thrilled about the colonoscopy. Cost is not an issue - my insurance will cover that. Colon cancer runs in my family and I have had the procedure twice in the past, but since my last test 10 years ago, I lost a family friend who died from a fouled up colonoscopy.
DeleteGlad to hear that your health is good. Also good that you still have a family GP since you have been away from health care so long.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the colonoscopy. Not the most fun thing to do but one worth getting done on schedule
My family GP moved, so I found a new GP whose office is just 4 miles away.
