I don't recall much about these photos except that I was home alone on a Saturday in June 1995 and decided to do a photoshoot modeling my new to-die-for dress.
In retrospect, looking at these photos, I see a woman, not a man in a dress, but a woman who enjoys being a woman.

All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up.
That is a wonderful dress and you wear it well. Your hair, shoe, hose and makeup all work very well.

My age back then helps a lot, too! LOL
DeleteO gosh how many hot summer days I spent inside with the AC turned up wearing foundations and pantyhose. My family would be away for a visit somewhere and I'd have a weekend to be free
ReplyDeleteOn another note 1995 is the year that pantyhose sales started to decline (tsk-tsk-tsk shaking head in sadness)
I am old school and still wear pantyhose on occasion.
DeleteDear Stana,
ReplyDeleteYou posted photo #4 (counting from the top) a couple of years ago on FEMULATE. I absolutely LOVE that photo. You look beautiful, and the dress is gorgeous. I love the way you posed in that shot by holding the skirt out.
Love,
Sheila.
Thank you! That is one of my favorite photos, too!
DeleteOh the wasted years......still it looks like you were enjoying yourself here, my favorite is the second ~ genuine smile there.
ReplyDeleteYes - that is a genuine smile.
DeleteHmmmm, could that be the title of a blog post? "I see a woman" Think about it as a subject, when did we stop seeing a man looking back us in the mirror or a photograph? I once read that if you learn a new language it is important to not only speak it but to think in that language. Once your thoughts can develop in Spanish, French, etc., then you truly know the language and are not just translating English to French as you speak it. So is it not also true that we are women when we think as a woman and look at our reflection or picture and know that we are looking at a woman? Just a thought......
ReplyDeleteThese days, I always see a woman in the mirror even in boy mode.
DeleteAnd I got so wrapped up in my thought I forgot to say, BEAUTIFUL, the outfit is simply perfect for you and the poses make the outfit and the woman modeling them come alive. I love the caption on the last one, perfect!
ReplyDeleteThat is one of my favorite movie quotes.
DeleteLovely dress, you look so happy as the woman you were always meant to be.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress. And your confidence shines through your smile.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful woman in a beautiful dress.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barbara.
DeleteJust gorgeous! Love the dark hair on you...
ReplyDeleteI often think about going auburn again.
DeleteI've been seeing your femulations for years now and that said I know that you are a beautiful woman both inside and outside and you are so comfortable in being and expressing your feminity that if some of my (G.G.) friends knew you they would be jealous of you for several reasons. Love you,The outfit, everything. You Go Girl!!! Best Regards, Ms.Stacey Anne Smith.
ReplyDeleteThat was very kind of you to say, Stacey! Thank-you.
