I will be scarce the next few days as I travel to Dayton, Ohio, to attend Hamvention. As in past years, I will be very busy, so I cannot predict how often I will be able to post to the blog, but I will have a lot to write about after I return home Sunday night.
Post Bruce Jenner and all the media attention that transgenders have received lately, I wonder if anyone will broach the subject with me in Dayton. For what it's worth, none of my ham friends and acquaintances have ever brought up the subject in the past except to ask what name I was now using, so I don't know what to expect this trip.
As I mentioned before, I will be staffing the TAPR suite of booths (numbers 451 through 454) off and on Friday and Saturday. If you are going to the convention, stop by and say “Hello!”
Just a reminder, please send me all your femulation questions and I promise to answer them as soon as possible. My e-mail address is stana-stana at sbcglobal.net.
Later!

Great picture, I wonder where it was taken? :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I wonder who took it? LOL
DeleteSome time back Christina Kahrl published an article in Cosmo that recently resurfaced on MSN.com titled "8 Things Not to Say to a Transgender Person". I would be curious that within the context of the Bruce Jenner interview and so much other publicity that has been in the news since your last HAM trip whether any of these questions come your way?

Hi Pat! This was my 6th trip to Hamvention en femme and so far, no one has asked me any questions, good or bad, about being trans. I have hundreds of friends and acquaintances who attend Hamvention who knew me before I came out and they seem to accept me as I am without question.
DeleteStana, keep your eye out for anyone making interviews and try to see if you can get into the camera a little longer this time. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
Abi xx
Hi Abigale - I saw no interviews being conducted this year.
DeleteOh what a shame! I think to see some footage of you would be have been lovely, especially for us on this side of the pond who will probably never have the chance to meet you personally.
DeleteMust say your hair is really good, looks so natural!
The rest of you girl ain't bad either!
Hugs Abi
Stana, What should I do about my voice? Do I avoid speaking, speak softly or take feminine voice lessons before I femulate in public for the first time?
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses all the time so should I wear my regular glasses while I femulate or should I buy some feminine looking
ReplyDeleteglasses?
Do you ever wear feminine gloves, scarves, hats or any other feminine accessories on a regular basis year around when you femulate?
ReplyDeleteShould I get a bra fitting done? I have very little "man"boobs and no breast foms. Thanks- Ms. Stacey Anne.
