Michelle Persad writing for The Huffington Post offers the best websites to buy clothes for tall women. That means she is writing for most of us, girls!
I concur with her about JCP, Nordstrom, and Victoria's. I don’t know about her other recommendations because I have not shopped them, but I will now!
The slide show accompanying the article displays 19 tall female celebrities (yes, they are all on my Famous Females of Height List) followed by some fashion tips for tall ladies like us. The tips include a couple of Stana Standards: "Do go for oversized accessories as your frame can pull it off" and "Do stick a pair of tights under dresses that are too short."
Speaking of my Famous Females of Height List, here are some new additions:

Stana, Gwendoline Christie is beautiful. Thanks for posting this picture.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy it when you post about "famous females of height" (though I always think about these ladies as "fabulous" females of height).
When I was in college, there was a stunning young woman named Frankie who stood about 6'2" - besides being gorgeous and vivacious, it was clear that she was very comfortable with being tall. No slouching for this girl. I knew several other tall women who were inspired by Frankie to be proud of themselves and feel feminine and gorgeous, despite being a little taller than the average woman. I think your "fabulous females of height" are inspiring, too.
Dear Stana,
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute photo of Miss Glamouresse! She looks very comfortable and happy being "en femme". I wonder if she and the photographer realized exactly where she was standing. Was this photo taken at a Womanless Pageant?
Love,
Sheila.
Sheila --- Miss Glamouresse is the title the girls are vying for in the stage production "Pageant: The Musical," which is a faux beauty pageant in which the contestants are males en femme and audience picks the winner.
DeleteDear Stana,
DeleteThanks, sweetie. I've seen a number of photos from various "Pageant: The Musical" productions. The gowns and femulations in most of the productions are wonderful.
Love,
Sheila.
