Stana,
ReplyDeleteYou always have wonderful posts on fashion and femulation (yours and others). Always there is a focus on pictures, which seems right to me. One thing I have always wondered about is whether CDs remain just as visually focused as non-CD guys (and more than GGs), but we turn that vision more inward. In my case, walking down the street I notice everything about the women I see, but often their beauty I notice as a wish that I could better emulate and their clothes i notice as a wish that I could wear! I suspect neither the women in our lives nor our non-CD friends are ever looking at another woman in the same way, although we are closer to thinking like a gal than a guy. Anyway, I consider it a gift that we have a good fashion sense and that we can appreciate beauty without sexual lust always present. Thanks again for helping us appreciate "femulation!"
Lisa ---- Me too. I have always looked at women with an emulator's eye.
DeleteI also look with the desire to emulate -- as well as steal those gloves from Hedy! ~~giggle~~
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this beautiful picture of Hedy Lamarr. She was brilliant as well as gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI always like your notation of tall women. I know that my observations of women tend to be more of a dual natured activity. I see them for their beauty, poise and attire.
