Good news indeed. According to the article, ABC has a history of breaking ground for the LBGT community, how about a prime time show that shows CD/TS/TS folks living a normal life and just happening to be CD/TG/TS. That would do us some good.
I'm sure it got cancelled mostly because it wasn't done well, not because of the controversy. My wife could care less about the controversy, in fact was surprised there was any, but made the comment "this show isn't going to last", just because it wasn't very good.
Since TV is such a a strong medium for our society having a tgender show on would be a boost for all of us. I was thinking one that also had fluid gender/androgyne type representation as well. A well dressed tgirl and feminine and passing could be would be good. The "Work it" was disgusting as it basically made clowns of our world. Who was the idiot who came up with that? One that could show the pain and anxiety we all know growing up in a unsecure world. Like the blind man chose to be blind. I know I never fit in with the jocks in my school but played the game out of fear. Who does not know about this. Its our day.
It's nice to know that it wasn't the whining of advocacy groups that killed this show, but its own horrible writing, bad acting and casting, and pathetic execution of what otherwise might have been a good concept.
I don't like it when evangelicals try to censor what they don't like; this was no different. No one has a right to not be offended, and considering that all TVs have an "off" button, it's all the more ridiculous.
