I loved reading this story. How fortunate she is to have such a loving family and open-minded friends. I hope that some day, every transgender teen will have this kind of support.
It's true that the author didn't use the pronouns we would prefer but, overall, it was a very sympathetic story. I noticed that most comments to the story were very supportive, too.
I wish that I had the courage when I was a boy to ask my parents to let me dress as a girl on Halloween. I think they would have let me. I just never had the courage. (Going to a prom dressed as a girl would have been a dream, but impossible for me.)
We are making progress. I am so happen she didn't have any problems and was able to enjoy the prom. She is a pretty young lady.

ReplyDeleteThat's so wonderful that Hailee's parents and classmates are supportive of her!
