Andrej Pejic continues to confound the gender police. His latest run in with their laws is her “first beauty spread” in the Spring/Summer issue of The Block Magazine where he appears en femme in feminine duds and cosmetics.

ReplyDeleteWhile we who follow your blog may have more interest in this young male model than most people I think that we are also seeing some smart and creative marketing.
The Huff/Puff piece notes that his makeup was Dior. If I were a woman following fashion I may be inspired to buy Dior cosmetics based on how lovely they make him appear. I seem to recall that a few years back MAC had RuPaul as their image setter.
In any event it is all good. The more mainstream exposure that is focused on TS, TG, CD, gender-bending, etc. the better it will be for all of us. Slowly, over time, our ability to get out and about while dressed will become safer and less out of the ordinary.

it is so good to see this happening in the fashion industry at the moment and i hope that this is the turning point for everyone to wear whatever they so choose and be happy and not be confronted by the steriotypical gender issues
