May you all have a safe and fun-filled All Hallow's Eve!
As for me, after I finish distributing candy to the trick or treaters, I plan to sit down in front of the TV and watch old Frankenstein movies of the Karloff, Lugosi, and Chaney, Jr., era.
Boo!
It's the original "House On Haunted Hill" for me with Vincent Price!
ReplyDeleteAlas, we had cold, rainy weather, so not very many trick-or-treaters ... and I haven't seen any really interesting costumes for many years ... (although we did have one very convincing Marvin the Martian, head comb, Keds and all!)
ReplyDeleteOne little girl on her first Halloween burst into tears when she stepped onto the front porch ... I musta been the scariest thing she saw tonight!
I went a different direction for my Halloween movie ... "The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming" with Carl Reiner and Alan Arkin. Never saw it before --- what a funny, sweet movie!
Happy Halloween, and now we're on the long, swift ride to "the holiday season" ... gaaaak!
Emergency! Everybody to get from street!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Susan! Yes! :D
ReplyDeleteEva Marie Saint really played against type --- I was pleasantly surprised. She had range and was much more than a pretty face.
But how would Carl Reiner end up married to her?
