When I went for my surgery, there was an intersexed child who was having hers. It was then that I realized that "gender neutral" is an oxymoron. Most of us combine some aspects of masculinity and femininity and, of course, one or the other predominates. But even in the most seemingly sexless or genderless person, one does not cancel out the other, which to me is what would have to occur in order for someone to be "gender neutral."
Great article.
